Wilkesboro

Lowell and Robin White began their work with the Lord’s church by joining a mission team in Argentina in 1988.  This was just a few months after graduating from Freed-Hardeman University.  The Whites served as apprentices in Argentina for two years.  After spending a year with the Wilkesboro Church of Christ they began teaching at NCBC in Nigeria, West Africa.  They and their three children lived there for two years and later returned for another three years, along with child number four.  Most recently they have served as missionaries in Honduras.  During their time in the States they worked with the church in Farmville, Virginia, Charlotte, North Carolina and Yadkinville, North Carolina.

Lowell and Robin met during their time at F-HU and had their first “dates” studying the Bible with people in Mauldin and Charleston, SC when they worked with Northeast/Southeast campaigns.  Both look forward to personal Bible studies with the good folks in Wilkes county.

Two of their most challenging moments were in Nigeria when an elephant decided to charge.  They were sitting inside their car and the car had a broken clutch cable.  The second was when they had to remove a green mamba snake from their daughters’ bedroom.

Lowell and Robin have four children, two sons-in-law and two granddaughters.  Both Lowell and Robin enjoy reading good books.  Almost every morning begins with a devotional reading from God’s Word or from an inspiring book.
